THIS IS A SPECIFIC TOUR FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS…

Understand and appreciate nature in order to capture her essence through photography. Join famed photographer, Rick Cruz, for a rare opportunity to go into the swamp on an eco-photo safari.  A 20-year veteran of nature photography, Rick specializes in Everglades’ landscapes and shares his vast knowledge of the environment while offering his expertise in discussing composition.  Rick’s artwork has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums, and has appeared in four PBS Documentary Specials as well as various books and magazines.  His images can be viewed online at rickcruzphotography or at Clyde Butcher’s Big Cypress Gallery, where they are on permanent display.

*Participants must have a working knowledge of their camera as this is not a photo workshop.

*What to know:  The hike is at a leisurely pace over uneven terrain and all participants must be sure-footed and in good physical condition.  You may be up to waist deep in water in some areas. Walking sticks are provided.

*What to wear: long pants, closed-toe shoes (NOT wading boots).

*What to bring: camera (in waterproof bag), water, sunscreen, insect repellant, hat, towel, and a change of clothes/shoes.  Recommended: tripod, polarizers.
